Teaching Experience : Michael has obtained pupillage at a top Commercial Chancery set. He has been awarded prestigious scholarships from Gray's Inn, UCL, and the Commercial Bar Association. His academic record is excellent, having achieved the highest grade in several modules. On the LLM: Corporate Finance (80%), Secured Transactions (78%), International and Commercial Trusts (75%), and his 12,000-word Thesis on directors' duties (78%). On the LLB: Jurisprudence (81%), Advocacy and Mooting (76%), Public International Law (89%), and his 8,000-word Dissertation on financial regulation (83%).
Michael's impressive CV includes work experience that is highly sought after by barristers' chambers. He has been a Judicial Assistant at both the High Court (Chancery Division) and the Court of Appeal, where he worked on a range of commercial cases such as Barton v Morris (contract, restitution) and McGaughey v USS Ltd (company law, trusts). Most recently, Michael was the Legal Assistant at Keating Chambers, where he assisted senior barristers with construction cases in court, arbitration, and adjudication. In his spare time, Michael volunteers at FRU, representing clients at the First-Tier Tribunal in social security cases.
Michael is available to provide quality tutoring in a range of civil law subjects, combining academic rigour with a practical understanding of how the law works. He is especially competent in contract, equity and trusts, construction, company, and insolvency law. Michael's work has been published in leading law journals in these areas, including Trusts & Trustees, the Business Law Review, and the Adjudication Society Newsletter.
